I'd like to start with a hearty: I'm slowly joining the dark side. That's right. I'm on LJ of my own free will. (I blame Wifey, though. Somehow.)
All right. This time, I actually have something to say. (Shocker.) Have you ever wandered oh-so innocently into someone's profile (or, in this case, journal, I guess), only to find them hating all over a bunch of characters for no apparent reason?
Well, I think I've found the ultimate one who I will not name. She has lists as to why she hates certain fictional characters. The stuff on said lists are completely unrelated, and are stupid arguments against the character that she hates.
(My comments will be bolded and in parentheses.)
She puts this down for Kikyou, for example:
1) She tried to hurt/kill Kagome! (Of course, this can have nothing to do with the fact that Kagome has more than half of her soul, right?
2) She's so emotionless! (Except for anger, hate and all that shit.) (Last I checked, 'anger' does not go into 'emotionless'. Besides, I'm sure that being brought back from the dead has that effect on people. Especially when they died, convinced that the person they loved is the one who killed them. I'd be pretty hateful, too.)
3) She's a slut! (lol) (I honestly don't know if you're joking or not. I don't think that showing only her hands, neck and face would be slutty, do you? Especially not when you later defend Kagome, who shows much more skin, as 'wearing her school uniform, which are mostly all short!'. Don't get me wrong, I like Kagome, but... What Kikyou wears seems to be a priestess uniform, too. And she didn't ask Onigumo to fall in love with her, if you were referring to the amount of men interested in her. Besides, again, Kagome has even more.)
4) She gave Naraku some of the jewel! (Um. No comment for that one.)
5) 5. She wants to take Inuyasha to Hell with her! Now, I don't like Inuyasha. But even he doesn't deserve to be trapped in Hell with that whore! (Yes, she is quite the whore for wanting to take the man she loved when she was alive to where she has to spend eternity. Besides, she thinks that he's the one who killed her. I'd want to take whoever killed me to Hell, too.)
6) She's technically a ZOMBIE. (OH NOES. A ZOMBIE. LET'S ALL HATE ON THE ZOMBIE, GUYS!)
7) Kagome saved her... and she didn't even say thanks! (And Kagome doesn't always thank people for saving her, either. Besides, she's helped them, too. Or do you have a selective memory and not remember when she chased Hakudoushi away with her arrow when Kagome's didn't have enough power?)
8) She pushed Kagome down the well... (-cursing fit-) (Um. Well, did it ever occur to you that she might believe that Kagome didn't belong in the past? Or that Kagome is in more danger of dying? Or changing the course of the future? I'll admit, the last two are more unlikely, but... really. She's much more advanced and is bringing futuristic objects to the past. Don't you think that might have more of an effect on the future?)
That felt good :) Lucky me, she also did Winry (from FMA), Hinata and Sakura (from Naruto).
HINATA:
1) She's too shy. (Um. Lots of people are shy?)
2) She likes Naruto, and Naruto is way to good for her. (She's kinda like a stalker too.) (OH NOES. SHE LIKES NARUTO. LET'S HATE ON EVERYONE WHO LIKES NARUTO. EVEN THE FANGIRLS.)
3) I can just barely hear her when she talks. Major exaggeration there, and since when is quiet a bad thing? I know quite a few teachers who would love to have Hinata in their classes, let me tell you...)
4) She plays with her fingers to much. That can be cute at times, but... Damn! She ruins it! (She's shy, remember? It's a habit for shy people. Hell, I do it all the time. Do you hate me?)
5) She won't stop blushing! That has to be unhealthy. And, once again. It's cute, but not every 2.3 seconds! (Yes, she does tend to blush a lot, when she's around her crush. I think that's also kind of normal, though. Besides, blushing isn't something that you can control, despite popular belief. You have no control over it.)
6) Her eyes are kinda buggy too... And yeah, I know I'm a Neji fan. But I never said I liked those eyes... (The stupid of this reason kills me. I think it speaks for itself.)
SAKURA:
1) She's an obsessed bitch! (She may take obsession further than others, but... it's kind of normal to become obsessed over someone if you really like them, and have for a very long time.)
2) She's vain. (So is about half the world, my friend. Or more.)
3) She's ugly! (Says the person who didn't like her because she was obsessed with her looks.)
4) She's so competative! (Srsly.) (Oh my. Competitiveness! Let's bash people who are competitive. Which means Naruto! You know, one of your favourite characters? And Ino, who is just as competitive as Sakura. And also just as vain.)
5) She doesn't like Naruto. And she was such a jerk to him, when he was trying to be nice! (Yes, and Ino doesn't particularly like Naruto, either. Besides, can you not see that Sakura does does care for Naruto? Like, a lot?)
6) She bothers Ino. Which is my second favorite girl Naruto character. (And Ino bothers her. They're competing for the affections of a single boy, of course they'll bug one another! Besides, their relationship is incredibly deep-- someone shallow like you wouldn't get it.)
7) She stopped being Ino's friend because of Sasuke... WTF?! Ino made her feel confident and happy! I know I would never leave my friend becasue of a boy! (It takes two people to ruin a friendship like theirs. They both have to be willing to throw it away. Ino wasn't exactly working her ass off to make up with Sakura, was she? And the fact that you wouldn't be willing to throw away a friendship over a boy-- if you've been in that situation, you'd know. Otherwise, there's no telling what you'd do.)
8) SHE'S FLAT! (lmao, you know what I mean~~) (SHE'S TWELVE.)
9) Her new outfit is ugly, lol. She looks even more manly then before! (Her outfit is a reason that you dislike her? You're kidding, right?)
WINRY:
1) She is such a pain in the ass! And she hits Ed too much. (The fact that she can hit Ed like that and feel nothing from it means that she and he are very close. And do you not see how she always worries about him?
2) She's whiny. (Worried, I tell you. She constantly worries about Ed and Al.)
3) She lives off her grandma. She should think about what she's going to do when her grandma dies. (Dude. She's, like, fifteen and has no parents. If she had parents, she'd be living off of them, instead. She has nowhere else to go and isn't old or mature enough to be on her own. She isn't strong enough to go with Ed and Al, and they'd probably not let her, anyway. And before anyone comments on how they're able to go out on their own... Ed and Al are probably two of the most mature fifteen-year-olds I've ever seen in anime.)
4) She has a metal fetish. Which I think is really weird... (OH NOES. SHE DOES SOMETHING WEIRD. She also GAVE Ed his arm and leg. Let's ignore that, though, so we can hate on her weirdness.)
5) I hate her voice! Which may not be a good reason. But it's a reason. It annoys me so much! Voices have nothing whatsoever to do with character. Hell, if you'd get over yourself for a while to actually look at the Winry that everyone who ISN'T biased sees, you'd get that she's great. I mean, come on; I love Orochimaru's voice, but hate his character. It doesn't always match.)
6) She gives blondes a bad name! (Why? Because she's intelligent?)
Man, that felt really good. I'm done my scary-long ranting, by the way :) I've gotta say... this person's vicious with her hating, but I'm even more vicious with my defending. I scare me sometimes.
Um. Well, yeah. I'm done XD
